- Changed the company name to Sugiyama Manufacturing limited to make tools for civil use instead of military use.

- Changed the name to Sugiyama Chain Co., Ltd. with capital 2 million yen.

- Established a new factory in Koyata, Iruma city.
Registered as JIS (Japan Industrial Standard) factory for a bicycle chain manufacturer.

1958: Company trip to Ikaho Hot Spring, Gumma prefecture

- Registered as JIS factory for a manufacturer of transmission roller chain.
Sadataro SUGIYAMA became a charter member of a newly founded Musashi Rotary Club.

- Established another new factory in Ohgi-machiya, Iruma city, with a size of 7,600 square meters, with more than 200 employees.

- Sadataro SUGIYAMA visited the International Rotary Club in Evanston, Illinois, USA.
Started exports of roller chains to the USA.
