“Toward the future”

Sugiyama Chain Co., Ltd. was founded in 1946. We were happy to have celebrated our 74th year of operation in October 2020. Throughout our existence, we have manufactured industrial roller chain utilizing our own unique techniques, designs and manufacturing processes. We have both domestic and overseas markets, supplying much of the world with high quality roller chain.

It was in October 2010 that I became the president. Due to the monetary crisis at that time, many Japanese companies were suffering from worldwide economic depression and the effect of a strong Yen to the US Dollar. Our company was not an exception as nearly 80% of our sales were exported to overseas market.

In early 2020, due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we again faced major business difficulties. As with many of our customers and suppliers, our business and life style dramatically changed. We continue to adjust as conditions evolve.

One thing I always keep in mind is to deeply consider all the options available and then choose the best scenario. By making the utmost efforts at any time, I believe that I should be able to bring a good fortune.

We have SBR (Solid Bushings and Rollers) and other advanced technologies. By utilizing these and through ongoing research and development, we will strive to make new breakthroughs in roller chain design and provide you with the highest quality products.
